Life has always found a way to return me back to the city I was born and raised, Los Angeles. I lived in New England for my undergraduate college years and then moved to the Midwest to attend veterinary school at The Ohio State University. It was here that I served as President of the Integrative Medicine Club and completed coursework in modalities, such as laser therapy, acupuncture, and herbal medicine. I am grateful to have completed an internship in holistic medicine at Limehouse during my veterinary school training.
After graduation, I worked in general practice as a Fear Free practitioner, taking an interest in feline medicine, chronic disease management and surgery. I realized that in almost every circumstance, I encountered a patient that would benefit from holistic medicine, but that these treatment options were not widely available.
My quiet reflection led me to complete Chi University’s acupuncture certification course. I am now actively completing training in Chinese herbal and food medicine. As an integrative practitioner, restoring and maintaining patients in a balanced state of health, is my genuine purpose.
My life outside the clinic is also very fulfilling. You may find me at a local farmer’s market, in my food garden, in the kitchen cooking plant-based dishes, or creating visual or musical art pieces with my very creative toddler. We also happen to have a very witty bird named, Peru.
